Zildor’s people the Dwarves of the Dar En Kadman Mountains closely resemble their common dwarvish cousins being bearded with skins the colour of fine tanned leather, they are bigger averaging around 5’3” with darker hair and often strikingly blue eyes, but the most noticeable differences are cultural rather than physical. First they love bright often clashing colours and fine fabrics in clothing brocades embroidery and jewellery gilded work of all kinds second their beards thought worn long are if the opportunity presents elaborately braided and curled and oiled so that it shines the same goes for their head hair. Females don’t tend to grow quite as luxuriant facial hair as the men and often don’t have beards having shaved it off altogether commonly leaving elaborate mutton chop type side burns instead. Both sexes will have precious and semi precious metals braided into their hair if they can afford it and most of them can given the fabulous wealth of the culture and the women often affect hair extensions made form horse hair and noble women without active jobs will extend their hair till it brushes the ground when loose.
The mention of horse hair brings us on to the other distinct element of Dar En Kadman dwarf culture, horses and ponies. All of them ride form a very early age and many are masters of the art by the time they reach adult hood. Nearly every one owns a horse if not several and it would be the last possession a destitute member of the culture would part with and given the wealth of their empire there are very few that desperate. In addition to their hoses the Dar En Kadman dwarves love their bows, the practice of which they take up very young and continue all their lives. They also love their hunting prizing the trophies which are often the pelts or heads of major predators as signs of their skill and courage. More adventurous types will seek out more dangerous monstrous beasts and seek to match their skill against those.
