The Temple of the wayfaier at Falax bridge - Map

The Temple at Falax bridge

The external map of the Temple

Key & Notes
The original Kalamarian structures the tower and what remains of the curtain wall are of heavy blocks of mortared stone, with a rubble in fill in the case of the fall and base of the tower. which is three stories high rising above the surrounding wall by a just over a story it is roped by a further wooden structure which gives the whole tower a pitched roof and leaves a defensible ring of battlement around it.

The other buildings are largely timber framed with a base stone blocks of rubble infilling between the frames at the ground floor the great house is two stories high with an additional attic and is the common room and kitchens of the temple and two dozen modest but comfortable rooms for travellers. it has a large stone lined cellar for food storage. The additional surrounding wall is built of the same blocks as the Kalamarian wall but is only eight feet in hight and no where near as thick. the gates in it are solid but not those of a fortification being more to allow the temple yard to be used as an animal enclosure.

All the roofs are made of rough hewn wooden shingles and the Palisade is made of stout posts and six feet high woven willow panels.

The bridge is alsom made of the same blocks the Kalamarian fortifications where and is built in two spans. it is wide enough for two common wagons to pass each other at the top and quite a gentle slope.
