Granted powers of the Paladin of the Guardian
Violet has
rather a lot of special abilities some granted her due to her being a Champion
of the free and others as a result of her very unusual demonic parentage.
Wizards are rare on Telene, powerful ones, who could summon a demon, doubly so
ones who combine this with the extreme foolishness to try to do so are almost
unique fortunately.
The ones she
gets as the “Paladin” are as follows
- The ability to heal by laying on hands as an equivalent lawful good paladin.
- The ability to intimidate both evil and slave owners of all alignments. in the same way a lawful good paladin does evil
- She retains the ability she had as a cleric of the free to cast spells as a fifth level priest
- She retains the ability she had as a fifth level ranger with regards to fatigue factor and the extra damage to humanoids
- The ability to do extra damage to the anointed and priests of the overlord as if they where humanoids
- She retains the ability to turn undead as a fifth level cleric
- She retains the other special abilities both of a cleric of the free and of a ranger
Her limitations
are
- That whilst she may where what so ever armour she closes and use whatsoever weapons, hence her favouring studded leather armour and a longbow she suffers major honour loss if she allows a free person to be enslaved, injures an innocent or pays homage to the overlord in any way or refuses to free a slave when she can do so without injuring an innocent or paying homage to the overlord.
- She may do as she sees fit in all things but must work to reduce the level of slavery and teach self reliance to the already free.
- She may be turned by evil clerics in general and by clerics of the overlord in particular in the same way a lawful good paladin can
- Whilst she must be an example to others she must lead only by example and allow others to exercise their own free will even when such is unwise or injurious she can only council against it. Being truly free is not without its risks.
