Races of Elsewhere a work in progress



Stat bonuses

Note that for any race the maximum individual stat bonus or penalty is +/-4

Pros

High elves are Medium creatures for the purposes of determining knockback and Hit points
Common Elves and Half elves are conditioned to fear and obey high elves and so the high elf gains a +10 bonus to all charisma based skills when the target is either.
Two spell like abilities chosen from

Cons
High Elves are assumed to be Evil by most other races and at the very best distrusted a high elf operating outside an elvish area will be assumed to be up to no good more or less regardless and will be treated as if on e honour window lower by those he meets. This will also happen to a good or neutral aligned High elf in elvish areas.

May purchase the following Talents at 50% BP cost
Crack Shot or Greased lightning (with crossbows)
Attack Bonus, Damage Bonus, Parry Bonus or Swift blade (with daggers short swords and knives)

God kin
Stat adjustment
+6 points in places a player chooses to a maximum of +2 on any given stat no penalties allowed 

Pros
God kin are Medium creatures for the purposes of determining knockback and Hit points
God kin are almost universally assumed to be lawful and likely good so will be treated as if they where one honour window higher than they actually are in good and or lawful societies. The opposite will happen in chaotic or evil societies

Cons
God kin attract hangers on more than any other character race and given that they are assumed to be good will be expected to help at all times and often do so unrewarded as offer of such would offend them or so it is believed widely.

Cons
Even thought the evil Assuri where over thrown long ago their descendants still bear the stigma especially when they bear the marks of the congress that the  evil Assuri had with the court of the Archduke and in most of the southern continent they will treated in much the way a Half Hobgoblin might on Telene. Further north they will be distrusted but less so unless they come to the area around the Blight Scar when they are likely to be mistaken for Demon kin and dealt with accordingly

+8 points in stats a player chooses to a maximum of +3 on any given stat however a penalty of -2 must be applied to a stat of the players choice or two with a -1 penalty.  An additional -1 penalty can be taken on one of those allowing a single stat to gain a +4 Bonus

Dark vision to 120’
+1d12p mastery to intimidate

Cons
Demon Kin are feared and distrusted especially in the area around the Blight Scar where they are most commonly found, and in most of the northern  continent they will treated in much the way a Half Hobgoblin might on Telene and in regions troubled by the Blight Scar may be attacked on sight.
